about his new single in this exclusive

The Microwave Blog:  What's up Mono Bagends, how does it feel being back in the Microwave for having a hot single "Get Sexy For Me"?
Mono Bagends:  Feels great to get the acknowledgment. Thanks for the opportunity.

The Microwave Blog:  How can a lady "Get Sexy For You"?

Mono Bagends:  She can be real...I get turned on by a women's wit...

The Microwave Blog:  Who is this record geared to?

Mono Bagends:  It's for anyone who wants to get busy with someone...It's an up close song to dance to or just chill in the crib with that special person.

The Microwave Blog:  You always seem to make a lot of hot radio ready and club singles, what's your formula?

Mono Bagends:  Thank you...I don't have a particular formula.  If I hear something that is hot I rock out to it.  Producers ask me all the time what am I looking for and I tell them I'll know when I hear it.

The Microwave Blog:  How do you plan on making it hot this Spring?

Mono Bagends: I have the banger of banger's that is waiting to be released.  I'm being secretive with it but it is the best record I have done. This should propel me to the next level.

The Microwave Blog:  Other than your music, what other records are "hot" to you right now?

Mono Bagends: I enjoy listening to Drake..it seems everything I hear on the radio is him but it is well deserved.

The Microwave Blog:  Speaking of other records, in all honesty, could you name an artist that is out right now that you feel that your music is better than?

Mono Bagends: I feel that my music is better than mostly everyone that is out..I am not going to single anyone out cause the list would be too long..This is a competition and I would not back down to anyone.

The Microwave Blog:  Do you have any shout outs?

Mono Bagends:  Shout out to some guy named Jay, Filthy Rich, Mela Bela, ld johnson, Price Achillies and the whole fam...soon come!!!

Microwave Interview: Mono Bagends

This week's Microwave blog entry is dedicated to popular indie rapper Mono Bagends!  In this interview Mono Bagends talks about his blazing hot single "On Fire", the artists that he feels are "hot right now" and other topics.  Read all about it below.....

The Microwave Blog:  You're in "The Microwave", what makes Mono Bagends and your single "On Fire" so "hot right now"?

Mono Bagends:  It's a positive song that people can relate to. It makes people feel good..I think some people are tired of hearing about the same nonsense that is recycled in rap music so this record and myself are a breath of fresh air.

What artists in the mainstream do you feel are "hot right now"?

Kanye West, Drake and 2 Chainz

Besides hip hop/rap, what other genres of music are you into?
I really like all kinds of music..if it's hot and I can relate to it I'm on it.

Getting back to you and your single, the video recently reached 170,000 video views! The people are loving it!  Have you decided on a song for a follow up single, or are you going to continue to max out this video at least until next year?

The new record is coming at the top of the new year...I know which one I am going with but don't want to give it away just yet....it is a going to have more of a dance/pop appeal to it...its a dope record...I collaborated with a gorgeous female singer on it...Shout out to Mela Bela.

What do you feel was one of the most effective ways to get your music video seen by over 170,000 people?
It's all about word of mouth...I am not dealing with a major label budget so I can't promote everywhere. I feel like the record hasn't even been seen.

What does Mono Bagends get into when he's not in the studio cranking out hits?
I enjoy watching football, working out and reading...

Have you ever considered getting into other fields withen the music industry? If so, what else could you see yourself doing?
I co-produce the majority of my records..maybe one day I will fully produce my records. I probably could do a good job managing an artist but too many artists' have crap attitudes so don't know if I would want to burden myself with that.

What movies or television shows are you "hot" right now in your opinion?
Once upon A time, Boardwalk Empire and I am looking forward to Spartacus and Game of Thrones starting up again. Games of Thrones is my favorite.

Would you ever consider breaking into other forms of entertainment yourself?
Acting is something I would like to do...I know I could rock that out.

Is there anything else you would like our readers to know?
That the music game is a very difficult thing to do. If you like an artist you should support them and buy their records....Don't Bootleg!!!!! On Fire is on sale now on itunes. If you like it cop it.
